CHINA PUBLICATIONS EXPO INTERNATIONAL Tel: 86 10 65063080 The Exhibition Dept. is specializing in undertaking all sorts of fairs, large-scale exhibitions and international conferences, such as, Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) and Beijing International A/V & Multimedia Fair (BIAVMF). The BIBF now has developed into a big international cultural activity including book trading and copyright trading business. In the 7th BIBF, over 4200 agreements and letters of intent on copyright and co-publishing have been signed. Besides, major overseas publishers and domestic publishers in addition to more than 120,000 visitors have presented. The Exhibition Dept. possesses strong ability and rich experience in organizing domestic publishers to participate in or visit the overseas exhibitions, particularly in the aspects of visa application, exhibition design, participants' organization and coordination. So far, entrusted by the Press and Publication Administration of P.R.C, the Exhibition Dept. has successfully organized more than 100 domestic publishing units to attend the exhibitions of books, audio-video or electronic publications in 14 countries and regions such as Switzerland, Egypt, France, U.K., USA, Russia, Israel, Hungary, Poland, India, Brazil, Argentina, Singapore and Taiwan.
Meanwhile, the department is capable of undertaking international conferences.
Since 1995, entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Exhibition
Dept. has successively undertaken international science and technology
conferences of international standard for eight times, such as Ministers'
Conference on Regional S & T Cooperation (1995), China-EU High-Tech
Conference (1996), China-Europe Intelligent Transportation Seminar (1997),
and ASEM S & T Ministers' Meeting (1999). High reputation has been
won internationally for well organizing the above conferences. And in
June of 1998, the Exhibition Dept. convened 24 domestic experts to attend
the China-EU ITS and Transport Telematics Applications Seminar in Belgium.
